Q Interiors Directors take on the Great North Run

Our directors Ian and Jill recently got involved in the North East tradition and completed the Great North Run, in support of the Dragonfly Cancer Trust!

This charity is one close to Jill and Ian’s hearts and if you’ve followed us for a little while now, you will know this isn’t the first time they have fundraised for this organisation. 

The Dragonfly Cancer Trust believes every moment matters, and works to ensure that young people aged 0-24 with terminal cancer feel supported and loved on every step of their journey. 

The charity provides creative therapy sessions during periods of treatment, opportunities to make memories that last for patients and their loved ones, and helps patients create keepsakes that their families can cherish for years to come. 

Throughout the year, the charity hosts a variety of events that suit everyone, from fashion shows and grand balls to cycles, treks, and marathons all in aid of raising money to ensure the comfort of young ones with life-limiting cancer.

This September, along with a host of others, our directors Jill and Ian took on the Great North Run and ran 13.1 miles from Newcastle city centre to South Shields in aid of the charity. 

CEO of the charity, Jane Dennison, said “I cannot thank Jill and Ian Lambert and the team enough for their support in taking part in this epic run. The weather was challenging, however, they all finished the run with a smile on their faces and a well-deserved medal. We are delighted to announce that Ian Lambert is soon to join us on the Board of Trustees for Dragonfly Cancer Trust and cannot wait to welcome him aboard!” 

The charity embraces the Great North Run, seeing it as an opportunity to really shine the light on supporters and the amazing fundraising they do. With a lower number of runners this year, it is more important than ever that our team continues to raise awareness for the Dragonfly Cancer Trust and encourages people to get involved.
