In aid of supporting the Dragonfly Cancer Trust, our Director, Ian, is embarking on a mission to complete the World Record for the longest triathlon.
The 4,800-mile triathlon is no longer Ian’s goal and it is now a whopping 5,940 miles! He will be running approximately 1,155 miles, cycling 4,610 miles and swimming 175 miles, without a day’s rest.
He has an extra month added on to his challenge, and needs all the support he can get! Along with the support from all of the team at Q Interiors, celebrities such as Richard E Grant, Kevin Whately and Dame Joanna Lumley have all given words of encouragement and support. Joanna Lumley said, “I wish you every possible measure of luck and good fortune. You are an absolute inspiration, and there is no more deserving cause than that of the Dragonfly Cancer Trust”.

Ian is a trustee for the Dragonfly Cancer Trust, who do admirable work supporting young people (age 0-25) with terminal cancer, and their families, focusing on memory-making, keepsakes and creative therapy. Each year in the UK, around 530 young people die from cancer, and this charity recognises that each moment truly matters.
The charity CEO, Jane Dennison, said “We are very grateful for Ian’s fundraising task. The funds will be used to work with families, hospitals, and hospices across the UK, supporting young people with terminal cancer.”.
Ian has already attained one World Record for his non-stop 220-mile triathlon in 2021, again a fundraising effort for the Trust. Determined to push his limits for the trust, a 5,940-mile triathlon World Record will hopefully help Ian reach his overall fundraising goal of £15,000! He said, “I have seen first-hand the good work they do to help families create positive memories, despite uncertain futures”.
We are so proud of Ian and his outstanding efforts to raise vital funds for the Dragonfly Cancer Trust. You can donate to Ian here, and you can keep up to date with his progress here.
