In August 2024, we partnered with Amethyst Homes, a reputable local builder from Consett known for their thoughtfully designed homes for modern families.
We worked together to craft a stunning showhome at the Pastures in Sleekburn, creating a space that would attract families seeking a coastal retreat.
The result? A beautifully serene family-orientated space that combines open-plan elements and a neutral base with pops of colour for a luxury but comforting feel.
COASTAL CALM WITH A FAMILY FOCUS
Our team approached the project by embracing the area’s natural beauty and translating it into a muted colour palette with added depth through rich brown and black tones and hints of gold.
We carefully selected natural materials and textures to infuse the space with a sense of the outdoors, while also creating distinct areas that catered to both relaxation and busy family life.
We first designed the main living area, with the idea of creating a calm, comforting space with soft furnishings and a neutral colour scheme that set the tone for the entire home.
In the heart of the home, we introduced a large dining table perfect for gatherings and a comfortable seating area for family time. The design encouraged a seamless flow from cooking to dining to relaxing.
The two bedrooms upstairs embraced the same serene vibe, with one featuring coastal tones and a unique headboard that added bright pops of purple, blue and green, and added a subtle link to the local coastal area. This approach brought added interest to the space, while remaining cohesive with the overall theme of the showhome.
Understanding the evolving needs of families, we converted one of the four bedrooms into a versatile study, incorporating shades of green used throughout the home to tie all of the final room designs together.
The completed Rothbury showhome was met with glowing praise from Amethyst Homes and potential clients alike.
