DESIGNING WITH SUSTAINABILITY IN MIND
This home meets Part L requirements due to its limited energy waste, airtightness, and thermal performance, making it both sustainable and energy-efficient.
To reflect the sustainability of the Eco House, where possible, we used recycled and natural products within the home. The dining table, coffee table and bedside tables are all wooden, and we further incorporated tassels, wicker, and wooden branches into vases dotted around the space.
We used a natural earthy colour palette for this project, using different shades of beige, green, brown, and cream to reflect the rich tones of the outside world and carried this theme throughout every room with the decor, wallpaper, and curtain choices.
We introduced a multitude of plants within the house to welcome the outside in and to make the property feel truly like a home, we incorporated aroma-therapy diffusers and fragrances to create a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere.
A yoga room was also built into the home design in one of the bedrooms to further accentuate the peaceful energy of the sustainable home.
The final result for this showhome was a calming space which reflects the sustainable Eco Home that Miller Homes built for buyers in the surrounding Bedlington area.
