We worked with the Bellway team in London, to bring their show home vision to life. We wanted to create a fresh space for a couple moving into their forever home with a strong family-friendly feel.
For this show home, the requirement was to design and source furniture and soft furnishings for the bedrooms, study, dining area and living room.
A SOPHISTICATED SPACE WITH A FAMILY-FRIENDLY APPEAL
After meeting with the client to discuss their requirements and ideas, we showed them examples of fabrics and textures for the show home. A 2D CAD plan was developed to show the client how the new furniture would be spaced in the room to help them see the scope of the space they’d have to play with.
To cater to families with children, we created a Peter Rabbit-themed bedroom for a younger child, using a light grey and blue colour palette. The soft furnishings, the decorative handmade headboard and the wall art created a cosy yet playful space for the child.
We accessorised the teenage bedroom with bright artwork and a powerful graffiti feature wall. This was then balanced with a soft headboard with matching textured dress pillows.
For the master bedroom, we focused on making this a calming space using neutral colours and a range of natural textures. We further opened up this room with mirrors and a floor-to-ceiling headboard and added soft lighting to encourage a subtle, moody environment.
In the dining area, we used a large artwork piece as the focal point to tie together the different elements within the space. We created a sophisticated living room design with a slightly darker, sultry colour palette and gentle lighting.
The result was a neutral, cosy home that provided a relaxing space for a family to unwind and spend quality time together, with luxury features for a touch of elegance.
